Carolyn Forché Wins Poetry Award

The 2017 Windham-Campbell Prize recipient is Carolyn Forché,  author of books of poetry including Blue Hour, the Angel of History, The Country Between Us, the forthcoming In the Lateness of the World among others. Her many honors include a Los Angeles Times Book Prize, a James Laughlin Award, and the Yale Younger Poets Prize. Forché is also Professor of English and Director of the Lannan Center for Poetics and Social Practice at Georgetown University, and has been recognized for her extensive work as an editor, translator, and human rights activist.  She will appear in September 2017 at the Brooklyn Book Festival
